About

Hi! I’m Benni Jadyn Taylor, my pronouns are they/them/theirs, and I am a librarian. I have a Master’s in Library and Information Science from the University of Washington, and a B.A. in English with minors in Comics and Cartoon Studies and in East Asian Studies from the University of Oregon.

My philosophy in the library field is that access to information and resources should be equitable, and so I lead with ensuring that marginalized populations take priority in my work. In my past work, I have started and managed a diverse reads collection at Springfield High School (OR), increasing students’ access to books by authors of color, queer authors, and disabled authors. I have promoted the use of accessible classroom technologies at the University of Oregon.
